Our lessons today included learning how to play Stratego, Pokemon, making bound books, making fruit salad, archery, drawing red pandas, and frosting cupcakes. Dashiell taught his student the moves of Stratego using a well-designed poster. His students played a game of Stratego with him. You know you've done a good job teaching when your student beats you ;) Bryden shared information about various Pokemon cards using his personal collection. His students got to create their own Pokemon cards with special characteristics. Stella shared healthy eating tips with her students. She explained that we should be "eating the rainbow". Then, her students worked to prepare a delicious fruit salad. Isabella showcased her expertise in archery. If you look at the pictures below, you can tell her students learned the correct form for shooting a bow and arrow. Safety first, these were nerf darts! Eli spent a lot of time creating a red panda comic book that is being enjoyed by the whole class. He created step by step directions to draw the red panda cartoon. Lucile shared her love of baking with her students and taught them several icing techniques using a piping bag. Natasha used lift the flaps books to inspire her students before creating their own bound books. Well done!
We have been so impressed by the lessons all our students created and shared this past week. This project gives our students the opportunity to showcase their interests and strengths while practicing good communication skills. A big thank you to parents for helping your kids prepare these wonderful lessons!
